hey, when did I say I was open minded? I just said evolutionists are more open to the possibilty of my side than creationists, since science is open to change. It's not really a bad thing that you stick to your beliefs....

I choose not to get involved in these sort of debates because I always end up either saying something stupid, accidentally contradicting myself, or just making a few enemies. There isn't really much to prove in debates- everyone always starts with 'I believe', which is foolishness because they have made themselves the supreme authority, and there really isn't much point in arguing with someone who'se supreme authority is themself.

It's difficult, because there are so many issues that cannot go undebated in our society that we must either choose one side or another. Creationism and evolution, for example. We can pretend it doesn't exist, but this would be ignorance. A better example is abortion. We define people who support abortion as pro-choice, and those who are against it as pro-life. Not anti-choice and anti-life (who wants to be called that?) because it's a two-headed coin- we can't exactly agree peacefully on this issue when it's either evil to some people or necessary to others. We can't just live in a society where abortion is both illegal and legal at the same time. (sorry if I've gone off topic- it's easier to explain with prolife vs prochoice than evolution vs creationism).

I like to debate to, but I don't like these kinds of debates. They often turn out to be a 'I am right and you should change your mind and think what I think' kind of fight. Those aren't funny. Everyone has the right to belive in what they belive in, no matter if it's creation or evelution. I don't care if my friends belive in evelution or creation, I won't try to make them think what I think. Neither would I explain to them why I think their belifs are wrong. I would tell them why I belive in what I belive in, but only if they ask me, cause I thinkit is pointless to just yell out 'I belive in THIS!' without any particular reason. Like I am doing now. -_-

but really he had deep questions aobut my faith adn we discussed the most logical thing to believe in and i convinced him that my god is the most logical
