VII : complication-
just another complication in life, just another thing waiting to be sent to endless oblivion.-
“The villagers,” Haruka whispered hurriedly to Hihari.
“I've got 'em,” Hiro smiled easily but his eyes did not reflect the upward curve of his lips. “Hotaru and Kyou are evacuating Glacier and putting up
barriers as we speak.”
“Ah,” Kazune stretched. “Well... I don't feel like fighting right now. May I be
excused, Yukio-sama?”
Yukio merely nodded, putting together his chin strap. His rare frown seemed etched onto his face.
Mikan's sunny expression was gone as well. “Oh, Yukio-sama's getting serious. I'd better go too.”
Yukio merely dismissed Kazune and Mikan with a single, serious glance.
Takashi scowled. “How about this: all of you are ordered to evacuate the civilians to safety while we kick this guy's ass off to oblivion.”
A chuckle from the darkness. “How very cocky. Perhaps that is a side affect to your cowardice – denial and ignorance.”
Takashi growled angrily and Kenji cast a weary eye over the Mizukage, who was crouched as if he was ready to attack. “Look who's talking. You are
the one that is 'hiding' in the shadows, you
coward.”
The antagonist let out a low guttural laugh. “I can see why you're the Kurokage, dear boy. But oh no, this? This isn't being a coward. In fact, I am sparing you – I cannot say that I am the prettiest man alive.”
“Come out and fight, you bastard,” Takashi hissed.
A small sigh. “You were always so impatient, Takashi.”
“Don't talk as if you know me!” Takashi snarled.
“You'd be surprised.”
And as the figure stepped out from the shadow, Takashi stepped back in recoil.

Eye-catch! She seems to fly from tree to tree, sometimes stumbling in her haste. Her short hair whips around her face as her eyes strain against the whoosh of the high speeds she is going at. 'Please... let them be here. Please...'

Hihari gaped openly at the sight in front of them.
'He... It's... not human...'The large figure smirked at the gawking Hikage. “Surprised? I seem to have this effect on almost everyone.”
Yukio's fist clenched and unclenched.
“An experiment gone wrong, huh?” Hiro asked lightly, though his eyes reflected disgust.
The large man-wolf seemed to smile by baring his teeth. “Oh yes, gone
very wrong. Can you guess what type I am?”
“One,” Kenji replied flatly. “Type one that has gone seriously wrong.”
The man-wolf took a step toward the five kages, sheer power rippling through his shaggy hind legs. “My name is Ken.”
Takashi's eyes narrowed. “No...”
A malicious glint passed through Ken's animal eyes. “But Takashi here may know me as Ken-sensei.”
“No, no no–”
“Takashi! Get a hold of yourself!” Kenji snapped, grabbing the back of Takashi's traveling cloak to restrain him from lunging at the smirking Ken.
“
Nononooooooooo–”The string that held the cloak together fell apart and Takashi seemed to blur as the water particles around him went crazy–
“Stop being such a
dumbass–!!” Yukio never finished his sentence, directed toward Takashi, as he became blinded by the sudden mist–
Hihari fell over, coughing blood, grasping her left shoulder–
–and Hiro could be heard yelling Hihari's name as her blood was the only thing prominent in the thick mist–
Ken stood there, seeing Takashi through the mist perfectly.
“Did you miss me, my dear nephew?”

Eye-catch! He stands on the same cliff that she has once stood on, his hair whipping around his face, his people – forever loyal – faithfully lined up behind him.His serene eyes seem to age for a split (but only a split)
second.They have been here.
And once again, he signals that ever prominent signal (When will they ever find a home?)
but he looks back because that outsider (hopefully his guest won't die just yet)
probably does not know what it means. But always, he knows, that his people – his ever faithful people –
will follow him.And that is all he needs. For now.
