Everyone loves Mist so they join the Mist clan. But let's think about
it. What all did Zabuza do? He ran at some guy with a Kunai in his
mouth. Sure it was Cool but he is dead. Get over him!
Seriously though I am confused why people adore Zabuza so much? I
have seen on other forums about Naruto this permanent Zabuza Fanclub.
Sure I think he was cool but Naruto didn't even get cool imo till the
Chuunin Exam. Sure Zabuza was tough but if Haku hadn't stepped in in
the forest he would have died. He had a second chance too and guess
what? He did die. He obviously isn't all that great then. Sure he has a
cool sword thing but um that is just a sword. Kisame's is cooler anyway
but I don't see a Kisame Fanclub.
People always say Zabuza is so great he
would have beaten Kakashi for sure. But people don't seem to realize he
was just a filler character that the writer of Naruto (whoever he be)
used to introduce the characters of Naruto and let them show off some
skillz. I mean let's be honest that though Zabuza was tough their are
other tough ninja that Naruto has run into and I don't see fanclubs for
them. The 3 Sound Ninja in the Forest of Death were pretty sweet. What about Kabuto's Chuunin Exam partners they were very strong too.
Haku also has no reason to be adored in my opinion. She is a weird mix
person who though has skillz also got beat. I like them as Opponents I
just find it weird that everyone still mentions them as some amazing
Shinobi. So could someone please enlighten me on exactly what they did
that was so awesome. I like them I just think that they are old news
and need to be left alone.
Their purpose was clearly to:
Allow Naruto to use the Fox's Chakra
Showoff Kakashi's Sharingan
To help lay in some of the background work
To release Sasuke's Sharingan
To show Sakura's uselessness and give them something to enjoy
And to give us something to watch and see their skillz in action
Their may be some other things but otherwise that is all they have been good for.

The question. What makes Zabuza so noteworthy in the history of
Naruto that he continues to be mentioned over and over and thousands of
fanart are out their on him.
