When or how do you think the world is going to end?

Depends what kind of zombies. But let's say you're right and these aren't the kind that last forever but the kind that eventually decompose.

Do you really want to live in a world where your friends and family were eaten to death before your eyes?

Pretty much any modern convenience, ranging from the internet to running water will disappear afterward. Finding food that hasn't spoiled will be an everyday chore. If you're lucky, you'll return back to the back breaking farming days and settle down in some kind of strange form of civilization there. You may even get some slight chance at happiness! Though your wish to remain chidless will be laughable in that society. And if you're not lucky you'll end up in a nomadic group, roving around for scraps of food. Or worse, you'll end up in a literal gang that hunts, kills, and takes from any and everyone. And whatever society emerges from the remnants of a Zombified population will be most barbaric, and those kind of societies do not usually treat people with respect. It'll be oppressive at best, and tyrannical and straight up savage at worst.

And you'll always wonder when it'll start again. Things may settle down, but since you could never fully fathom the event that happened, you'll never know if it's about to start round 2.

As I said. When it comes to Zombies there is no hope.

Well, it's a likely path the future might go down in such an apocolypse. But also! I believe that the smarter you are, ther better off you are in a zompocolypse. Not because the zombies care whether you're smart or not, but because smart people make less mistakes. Usually. There are exceptions. Smart people would die just as gruesomly as dumb ones. Anywho. Say, more dumb people died in the end than smart people (based on less mistakes, proper equipment and luck) Do you still think society what's left of society would devolve to that point??

Absolutely. And I disagree with your premise that smart people will survive.

In a world of Zombies you'd need a lot of physical prowess to beat them back. Smart people aren't exactly known for that. Instead, it'll most likely be stronger people, not smartie smarts. At least textbook smarties.

Further, you'll most likely have to do a lot of things you're not proud of. Any notions of charity or morals will likely be tossed out. You may have to leave people to die. And even if YOU are so noble as to not do it, many of those who did won't.

So the ideal survivors will be strong people and immoral cuthroats that live only for themselves.

Many will also lose their grip on sanity, thus you'll have psychos running about.

Although close to your username, the sick will be weeded out. Lifespans will also be cut as hygiene, medicine, food, shelter, clean water, and anything else you can imagine will take giant leaps backwards.

No I do not think the future after a zombacolypse will be filled with the world's smartest and best. Just its most selfish and lowest forms of life.

After all, any apocalyptic like scenario will likely leave a smarter person surviving, by that logic, right? It's more brutal in a Zombacolypse but it should hold true in any catastrophe. Yet in most catastrophe's you see the worst forms of depravity and the worst of man taking advantage of others. You also see some of humanity's best, but that is because they have never faced the truly mortifying and dehumanizing effect of having zombies. Sadly the noble and righteous will have no use for morals in such a world, and will quickly lose them. Because the very things that are moral are the very things that will quickly get you killed.

Besides! Remember, that society won't be one conglomerate. Your group might be filled with the best, lets say you beat the odds! There are other groups out there. Some wanting to kill you and take your scrap of food. And there is the ever constant threat of a return in Zombies. So sadly, you will have to take some drastic actions to make sure your group isn't wiped out or the new slaves on the block.

I think that's a bad comparison. in a catastrophe - comet hitting the earth, nuclear war - it effects everybody in the area. You can't run away from a comet. You can't hide from nuclear war. The catastrophe happens and nobody is safe from it. With zombies - it starts slowly. There's some story in the news, or a bunch of people getting sick. You have chances to avoid it.

Not only that, but do you think other nations, or just places not connected by land would let zombies just roam free and chance infecting the world?? No way.

It would be hard. But I think it's got a 45% chance.

I would be lucky if I had a 1% chance. Personally, though, I'll likely off myself.

Or I'll become so terribly hard skinned and tough that I'll just be a cruel shell of a man. No longer human, either.

I do not believe the World's governments are nearly efficient or organized enough to prepare for a Zombie Apocalypse in time. Not whatsoever.

And there is no chance any Island nation or society that does manage to close itself off, and somehow survive, will be taking in strangers. At best you'll be there slave. There's only a limited source of supplies on an Island.

Besides, in some cases Zombies can walk underwater. Afterall, they can't die. So by all means they could walk through the bottom of the seafloor. There'd be food there, too, so they have reason to.

Not to mention boats will be infection holes. So good luck getting there.

And where do you go to hide? The North to freeze and starve to death? The country side would be your best spot, but then how do you get food or supplies?

Again! It's hopeless. It truly is. Any survival will only be temporary. And the world after survival will be bleak and grim.
