Tired of being judged - Rant Empty Tired of being judged - Rant

    Post by Lunami

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday, and she began to insult my
faith, with what she knows nothing of. But, since I didn't belong to
hers, she decided to block me, even though we had been friends for
quite the long time. The last line she stated was "Have fun in hell,
I'm sure it'd at least be warm, then maybe you could be quiet on how
    cold it is too."

I do not go around professing my faith, nor trying to convince others
to join me for a simple reason. My faith was made by me, and as such, I
made it extremely personal to myself. Anyone else claiming to be of
like mind, is not telling the truth, for anyone outside of me to follow
    it, would be blasphemy.

Now, she was a Christian, Catholic specifically, and the faith itself,
I have no issues with. I have studied it, and it's Gnostic teachings,
among other things. I have dabbled in the numerology of the faith, that
came to me one morning in Anatomy class, where I refused to dissect a
cat further. Just because I am not a member, does not mean I'm not
familiar with it's practices, philosophies, and etc... If I happen to
go to hell, for being a decent mortal, simply because I do not accept
Yeshua as my savior, that is surely not another's concern.

Well, I believe I'm done for now.

    I'm pretty sure wasn't really a Christian

Because there is no way a Christian could ever say something like have fun in Hell

(reference to matthew 7:20 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.)

Although, to be honest, following something you've made up isn't a good idea,

Also, it seems you don't have a total understanding

You won't go to hell because you don't accept jesus as Saviour.

    Non one does.

People will go to "Hell" because of their own sin and rebellion against our creator.

Basically because God will judge us, and either we pay for our own sins or someone else pays them for us.

After Moses, God sent many prophets prophesying that a Messiah would come and take our sin away.

And jesus fulfilling these prophecies, was God in flesh who gave up his life as a sacrifice so that we, mortal, sinful human beings, could be counted as righteous, fulfilling God's covenant with Abraham.

And so, With jesus' death and resurrection, one can be freed from the bondage of sin, and do not have to pay the penalty for sin, because Jesus took all our sin upon himself.

So basically, now, we can either live our own lives and pay for our own sin on judgment day, or we can live in Christ, and be freed from our sin, and at judgment day live with God in the way he intended it (because on judgment day, God will destroy Satan and his demons and prophets and sin and GOd will live among his people for ever).

Basically, For your friends, you could tell them to repent (and should do this) of their sins and turn to the Holy One and produce good fruits, because from what you've said, they seem to produce not Fruit of the Spirit of God, but or the Spirit of Sin

Telling your friends to repent seems sort of... pushy.

It depends on how you do it.

You're gonna be judged for the rest of your life, Lunami. As you will too, judge others. I know I've had similar experiences with me being a Christian and them Atheists or Agnostics or Buddhists and saying they thought I was "smarter than to believe in Jesus."

If you have a belief system, at some point some jerk is gonna judge it and judge it the wrong way. That's just that. The difference is in how ya handle it.

Its fine for others to give their opinions on faith and religion to others but then theres a fine line between simply giving an opinion and far out insulting your faith.

Who is she to judge whether you will be going to hell anyway, I mean only God can judge you.

    Well, thats if you believe in that anyway, but I'm just saying if she was Christian she should know that ^_^;;

Your faith is your rock. It's wrong for someone to outright insult it.
A true follower of God would not say that.
