Not really. However, if discussion is understanding views of another,
as you mentioned, then calling someone's beliefs dogma (a word which
has a very negative implication to it), especially when preceded with sentence you use, ceases the understanding bit and takes a hostile stance. At least, that is my understanding anyways.
