Frustrating Words

Frustrating word - 1. a word that is surprsingly hard to spell. 2. a word in which you can't figure out when or where to use it. 3. a word that sounds right, yet doesn't.

Ever come across words like this? If so, post 'em :3

i use to have a very hard time with their, they're, and there.

but now, i dont see why i did.

now i stuggled over when to use THEN and THAN. but im pretty sure you use 'than' when you compare two things?

Er..and I can't say the word cure or pure or anything with a 'ure' >_>

Yeah 'than' is when you compare something... I think.

I have trouble with layed and lied. Which one is it?

"So-and-so layed in bed."

"So-and-so lied in bed."

The first one sounds more accurate, seeing as the second one implies that So-and-so is a liar in bed.

I could never spell definitely. I thought it definantly. only on spell check, it tried to spell defiantly. Definitely got on my nerves.

I can't spell a lot of words.
Mostly just words more than 10 letters in length.
And odd words like volunteer (which I finally figured out how to spell) also get me. (I thought it was something like volenteer or something, but couldn't figure it out.)
