The thing is not that I am not allowed to Watch it, or enjoy reading it. It's when I perform it. That would be the sin. And the fact isn't even that it is a sin but it's that I am looking to other help, that I don't feel God is enough to keep me safe in the World or make me happy but that I am looking to other sources and idols. And that is why I refuse to partake.
As I said, I do believe that Magic to some degree exists. Of course, I believe a Demon is behind it, operating it like a machine in trickery, but it does happen. And I don't mean slight of hand either, I am talking about those incantations and creepy spell jazz.
I read Harry Potter till book 6 then just decided the series is to ridiculous.

I am not constantly dodging corners hoping I didn't see Dark magic. In fact, I don't care if I see it, but I will not participate or promote it. Because I see it as a dishonor to God. My fear of Dark Magic, is because I have researched and found that Weiji boards often lead to Demons and the like. It's just a fact. But drive? Hardly not. I drive to be like Christ, so I ward off temptation so as not to sin, and yes, that is work. But that's the point.
Besides how often do you see Dark magic in the streets? It's not a common thing in J ville.
For example let's say you are at the movie, and the characters on screen start doing some, promiscous activities. Now, if I am not approving the activities (Unless they are married then bravo) on screen and I am not lusting after the activities, and the movie is not a complete #####, to me no fowl and nothing to worry about. I don't feel I have done any sin and I haven't anything to worry about. And that really isn't as much work as it seems.
I was thinking how impossible it would be to avoid seeing sin. You'd have be extra careful or I don't know but panic at every turn, consciously avoiding parties or hang places or the like, I didn't know how anyone could handle it. My! The Effort!
But I see the difference.
