Heaven and Earth

I just, and I know it took me a while, realized that the fight that Orochimaru and Naruto had was by the Bridge of Heaven and Earth. Then after reading it I remembered that in the Chuunin Exam they were searching for the Heaven and Earth scrolls, I think?

So what is the significance of Heaven and Earth? And how many other times was I asleep and they mentioned it?

does it mean anything at all?
does it have anything to do with the series?
is it important?
is there a connection?
its one of lifes great mysteries that might never be solved Quater

Ok? But it's been said twice, and this is a theory thread. What the point is trying to figure out anything with that attitude? And for the World, I do think there is a connection. When an author does something once, it can be disregarded. If he had just used the scrolls and never mentioned Earth And Heaven it'd have been fine.

But by mentioning it again at the Bridge it thereby makes it significant. Whether it is important or meaningful to the series, that is what I was wondering and asking and wanted to see other opinions on

And onto a third noticeable point of the Heaven and Earth Connection.

The Seals Orochimaru used on his servants, with Sasuke's being Heaven, and Kimimaro's being Earth.

What about the Heaven and Earth scrolls, This is what I think Heaven = Smarts/ Earth = Power. They needed both the scrolls to pass, And A good Ninja would need Power and Smarts to do well In life So the Scrolls are a way to show that.

yea i agree wit ama...maybe its just a common thing....but i remember when sasuke goes into cursed lvl 2 he had wings and maybe that was supposed to be like "angel" wings...while kimmimaro had his bones sticking out and had a much more devilish look to represent earth...idk this makes no sense to me

I don't think it will play a big part in the series at all, but I wouldn't be surprised if the term 'heaven and earth' is used again sometime in the future. The creator often uses traditional philosophies, folktales and myths when writing, and one of the most known philosophies that describes the need for two oposites to work together to become one is that of yinyang, or heaven and earth.

I didn't really think it would impact the series.

It's kinda like, a small jigsaw puzzle on the side to tinker with every once in a while (I don't actually do puzzles)

I used to like em. I'd do em while watching TV. But then I quit em and now I do avas. Same idea really.

Who knows? Maybe Kishimoto is all out of creative names for things?

heaven and earth are polar opposites. may there be a link?
