I have to agree with Q. At the very least you could ask for the multi-pm system but i fail to see how even that would work at the moment.

Of course i wouldn't want that deter you from continuing to post any of your ideas. No one has a monopoly on good ideas. Even if you have 100 bad suggestions before you come across a good one, it will be worth it.

I find the chatbox annoying.... if we wish to hide our online status, it will show it, logging us in each time we open up to the portal. Not only that, buut there is no link to the portal on any of the pages.

Since we are talking about genders here, as a girl I must say that I'm completely against this idea. It may carry good intentions but it won't be good for the site. People will be paying attention to those forums instead of the main threads on the site, like the Bar, counting that it's already a little empty from time to time. This idea only will bring gossip, drama and division of some sort.
If girls and boys want to discuss girls and boys topics we have PM's and AIM or any other type of instant messages to do it.
Just imagine you make those forums for boys and girls, and as an example, girls start talking about boys, that time of the month and sex. First, production of drama in series. Second, you are risking your privacy to be read by the moderators or admins that are allow to check on every forum and/or category and incentive gossip all around the site. With that I'm not saying mods and admins are people who likes and lives for gossip, I'm just stating that we should take care of our privacy (hint hint: PM's).

In responce to your second paragraph, I know for a fact that Hoshikage-sama's own site has both a brotherhood and a sisterhood, and it seems to work out fine.

Also, the head person of a group does not have to be a administrater. I am not sure if they even need to be a moderator.

And Hoshikage, as in my brother's site, is how large? Not to mention, I talk consistently with Cabloo and Dark Raptor, my brother hates the idea and pointedly shows me it's faults.

They do in fact, need to be a mod, and I still have yet to hear, even a small one, a bonus to this idea.

Besides, the rapid increase of drama and secrets on the site.

It's around 200 people, if I remember right. And as far as I can tell, it's quite dead in there.

The SoHa didn't do well. It was just a thread that people posted on. Saying it did well is like saying the Beach does well. Does it? Well people post there, but it doesn't do well it's just a place to post.

The SoHa had about half of it quit within a week of creation, the other half slowly giving up.

There are many things I'd like to say right now. But I don't think the rest of the site would want to hear me say them. Or rather read my typing.

Or perhaps those who told you were those who instigated it, believing it a success despite it's obvious flaws? See it can be said both ways. But think of this. Would I say no to an idea that benefits the site? I care most about betterment of the site? If this makes users happy and grows up the site, then why would I care?

Because you have missed my whole point. The idea they are asking for not only harms the site, but it's not the "Request of continuing the SoHa" at all. Look at what Bloodly's asking for.

...That would work for maybe this site, the Constitution, and the Declaration of the United States, but this is just a gender dividing drama causing group idea. It's not a noble cause worth throwing yourself into. It's just a gossip cornair. That could easily be done through PM's.

Now what is this you are asking? You ask for a permentation of seperate gender blocs, forcing us Kage's or who ever to run them and fix them, and make sure they stay active, so you users can once again talk about nothingness as the SoHa was.

So, in essense... How I see it anyways, it's just a thread, like a village forum. I, truthfully, don't care for the idea much. I see it as an oppertunity, and a way for people to get to know eachother better, without.... other things such as gender getting in the way. I know that some people are too afraid to go into the bar because of certain reasons, and this could provide a reason for them to get more active.

And personally, I would be more than willing myself to run this, and I am sure bloodly will be willing as well.

On facebook, there is a thing that you use as an inbox, and you may have multiple people in it at the same time. Almost like a forum thread, only you have to invite people. Hm... the more I think of it, the stupider it sounds. Ah well. Perhaps we could have something like that, a multi-way pm system.

The real world is tough. Right now, as children, we live in a protected bubble created to mask it. So, wouldn't it be fine, for now, as children, to remain obvlious?

Which is why Bloodly eventually thought of the multiple pm's. I personally don't get this drama thing, I'm... not the most socialable person. But this multiple pm thing... doesn't make sense to me.

One thing is that people can't change their gender things. And like, shouldn't make new accounts pretending to be the opposite sex so they can see what goes on in that chatroom or whatever. But otherwise, I'm all for it. They have this on one other forum I go to, too.
