Sisterhood/brotherhood?
Like, could we have a sisterhood/brotherhood so we could talk about things that we wouldn't like the other gender to hear(read?)

you put em into usergroups or whatever, then create the category/forums for the group and set it so only the people in the specific usergroupd will be able to view/post/etc
that's what i think..

Re: Sisterhood/brotherhood?
that doesn't mean anything if you're doing it by making usergroups
even if you switched your gender thing to female you wouldn't have automatic entry into the group, the moderator of the group has to allow you in

Re: Sisterhood/brotherhood?
Without a doubt your dumbest idea.
You would force us Kage's to go through EACH member and decide whether they belong to this group or that, so you can have group gender talk and promote gossip and trivialities to the site.
What am I saying? That's a great idea bloodly we'll get to work on that one right away. Really we love the idea of strong lines between Genders. This deserves immediate Application.

No one else can readily take charge of the villages and be given this control can they? Would we make this a new cheif level position, the master of boys and girls?
Also, I would like to mention a friend of mine tried to do this on site smaller then ours yes, but it ended not only disasterously, but it was made to be quite stupid looking. Pm's people. They can work just fine.

In responce to your second paragraph, I know for a fact that Hoshikage-sama's own site has both a brotherhood and a sisterhood, and it seems to work out fine.quater wrote:pika-chan wrote:I do hope that the last paragraph was saracasm.quater wrote:Without a doubt your dumbest idea.

And Hoshikage, as in my brother's site, is how large? Not to mention, I talk consistently with Cabloo and Dark Raptor, my brother hates the idea and pointedly shows me it's faults.
They do in fact, need to be a mod, and I still have yet to hear, even a small one, a bonus to this idea.
Besides, the rapid increase of drama and secrets on the site.

The SoHa didn't do well. It was just a thread that people posted on. Saying it did well is like saying the Beach does well. Does it? Well people post there, but it doesn't do well it's just a place to post.
The SoHa had about half of it quit within a week of creation, the other half slowly giving up.

Mm... you make a good point. However, if someone wishes to try to make something similar to SoHa again, and other people agree and like the idea and wish to continue it, without causing harm to the site, why bother stopping them?quater wrote:pika-chan wrote:There are many things I'd like to say right now. Or perhaps those who told you were those who instigated it, believing it a success despite it's obvious flaws? See it can be said both ways. But think of this. Would I say no to an idea that benefits the site? I care most about betterment of the site? If this makes users happy and grows up the site, then why would I care?
The site isn't ready to hear them. Then neither am I. Goodbye multiple reasons. ^_^
Perhaps SoHa did not work well. However, many great ideas start out as failures. It's just when it's tried again and again, and people keep perserviering, when they work out right.

Re: Sisterhood/brotherhood?

However, if someone wishes to try to make something similar to SoHa again, and other people agree and like the idea and wish to continue it, without causing harm to the site, why bother stopping them?quater wrote:pika-chan wrote:There are many things I'd like to say right now.
I personally thought it was a decent idea, myself. And no one ever said anything about kages.
Yes, that last paragraph was most definitely sarcasm.
Also, the head person of a group does not have to be a administrater. I am not sure if they even need to be a moderator.
No matter how much you point out the bad points, I can still see a good point.
I have heard of a Sisterhood that had happened once, the SoHa, if I'm not mistaken. I heard it worked out quite well for a surprisingly long time.
Well I am awaiting the Good points. I asked for one. And let me tell you something else, When the bad out weighs the good, toss it. It's not a sound investment in that light.
The SoHa didn't do well. It was just a thread that people posted on. Saying it did well is like saying the Beach does well. Does it? Well people post there, but it doesn't do well it's just a place to post.
The SoHa had about half of it quit within a week of creation, the other half slowly giving up.
Ah, it didn't? I was told it did rather well, by multiple people. Perhaps that is just your standpoint on it? Reality changes with perspective.
Or perhaps those who told you were those who instigated it, believing it a success despite it's obvious flaws? See it can be said both ways. But think of this. Because you have missed my whole point. The idea they are asking for not only harms the site, but it's not the "Request of continuing the SoHa" at all. Look at what Bloodly's asking for.
...That would work for maybe this site, the Constitution, and the Declaration of the United States, but this is just a gender dividing drama causing group idea. It's not a noble cause worth throwing yourself into. It's just a gossip cornair. That could easily be done through PM's.
