Hmm. Before I get on with my response, I'd like to let you know that I read only the first post and skipped the other 9 pages of peoples' rants. I am stating my opinion, for the record. I am not a sexist.

Overall, I agree with AmazingClover (the male who initially posted this in the Gaia forums). I agree with statements 2 and 3.

1. I disagree with point one cuz not all females are not athletic. I know plenty of females who do contact sports (ex. football, basketball, soccer, etc.).

2. I agree with point two from my own personal experience. I've played football with both males and females in the same game. Mostly the females just shouted that we weren't being fair and they were being treated unequally, which was not the case. They'd go hard after the ball, but they kept complaining and get mad over it. Again, this is my own personal experience and that's why I agree with it.

3. I agree with point three cuz I think that is not fair for the males as well. If a female gets angry because she is not allowed to play a sport with the opposite sex, I think a male has all the right to feel the angry as well if she was indeed allowed. Same with the situation flipped; if a male was allowed to play a sport with a female, she has the right to feel upset.

I guess that's all I have to say for now. Seeing as I'm being distracted by the television atm. Lol. Plz don't flame me or yell at me for being sexist or anything. I was simply explaining my thoughts on the subject.

Personally, I cannot hit a female; sports or not. I was raised being taught to treat women with respect and that it was never ok to hit them. I have more to say, but I decided to stop writing. It's almost midnight where I live and I'm tired.

So again, this is all my own opinion and plz don't flame me.

I really think they shouldn't be allowed. I mean, maybe a small, team vs team thing.
But there are lots of risks girls could get, and guys sometimes dont hesitate you curse a girl out, or threaten to kill em when girls play dirty and hit them in the groin.
Then guys can hit the girls in the breast, and hitting that spot could cause breast cancer.
Also that when guys get into the sport, they seem to forget reality and just do what they have to to win a game.

OK... I'll give my opinion....
- Girls should be allowed to play sports. That's why there are girls sport team. There are girls who can't play sports but that's for them to decide. Not Us.... Done.

I think if a girl wants to play a contact sport, then they should be aware of the risks. Also they shouldn't complain, you don't see guys complaining to the refs in rugby that they got sacked (they'd probably be on the ground)
but it's something girls should say, ok, I know what could happen and if it does happen to me, it was the consequence of taking that risk.
The same thing happens with guys. In sports like hockey, they must be aware that they can break legs, arms, other bones, pull most of their muscles. And when/if it does happen, they should know its the risk they took.

I agree ama... ANY sport can be dangerous and EVERYBODY should know that injuries happen... especially in contact sports. BUT!!! most people overlook that and dive right into contact sports like hockey, football, and lacross. They are dangerous sports and i should know. I broke my collar bone about 2 years back while playing lacross so i couldn't every go back because it's fragile now and could break very easily.

hm... i dont really care. xD but guys are good at sports so i think its good if girls and boys plays together in school, then the guys can do everything. ^w^

Because being hit there hurts like crazy.

I mean seriously. If a girl hits me there, I am gonna get payback I don't care.

Don't make us look like we are bad guys out for revenge it hurts.

Moving on, my post is still the winner.

Okay, so here's my beef:

There are just SO many instances these days when there'll be a school sport with both boys and girls teams. Both teams will be equally support with equipment and coaches. And yet, yet, some girl will come along wining because they won't let her on the boys team, and then the media will jump all over it and the school's coaches will be labeled as sexist. Seriously, if there's a girl team, you don't need to be on the guys team. It puts extra hastle on the school to find a changing room for that girl, as well as book a seperate hotel room when the team is traveling. Also, it IS actually been scientifically proven that guys have a higher resistance to pain then us gals in general.

If there's only one team for a sport, that's a different story. I'm in wrestling, and since our school can't possibly fund two seperate teams when there aren't a whole lot of people interested to begin with, so we have to wrestle with guys. We're normally teamed up with people of the same gender, though.

IN teh end it will all depend on the individual, if a girl is really good at one particular sport and is dominating in her own Girls league, team thing and want to try out for the guy's team she should be allowed, she could be better then most of the guys, who knows?

BUt I think we don't do that because a guy can't join a girls team for reasons that everyone knows for sure, and they want to make sure it does not happen with a girl going on the guy's team. Mainly for safety purposes, they could implement a signing sheet where aa girl would have to sign a contract saying if she gets hurt or whatnot it's her own fault since it's the risk she was taking, and no whining is allowed or something

If the girl is best in her league, why would she go to a league where she would do worse and do nothing but lowers her chances at scholarships, and increase her chances at getting hurt?
