The Real Leader of the Akatsuki

I've been looking into the naruto mangas lately and I noticed something as I was reading. In volume (I believe this is the correct number) 40, Pein asks Tobi if it is the right time to capture the Kyuubi. Tobi replys to Pein saying these exact words, "You do it, as you are their leader, I won't accept failure."

Which made me come to think, what is Tobi's role if he is not the leader of the Akatsuki? I then kept reading and found something else which I didn't think too much into til now.

Tobi orders Pein to tell the members of the Akatsuki to continue capturing the Jinchuuriki and then puts on a Akatsuki cloak making him part of the organization. While he is walking away from Pein and Konan(don't know if that's the right name), he says "Soon, all of our goals will be achieved."

Does this mean that Tobi is using the Akatsuki to complete his goals? And not only does Tobi say that, he also says "The sharingan's true power...my power... Uchiha Madara's power."

If Tobi is an Uchiha, is he really Madara, or another living Uchiha who survived the massacre(sp?)? Or is he Obito, the person everyone else believes he is?

well we kinda settled this a while ago.....the leader of akatsuki is pein....but i think since tobi calls himself madara...which is a total kickass dude...pein gives "respect" to him by listening to what he says.....

thats as far as we know, he may surprise us later but for now

There's no sure way to really tell... Unless you ask Kishimoto, but I doubt even they would tell........

rasengkan???? is that like a gay rasengan???? so wait...ur sayin that he has the rasengkan....which is probobly fake.....but sounds like rasengan...which is a move not an eye....or kekki genkkai (spelled wrong)......huh???

Just say Sharingan Tei none of us ever have a clue what you mean when you say rasengkan cause it hasn't even been said in the series.

I read somewhere that there are six Peins, all containing the rennigan (sp?) bright orange hair, same amount of peircings, and weird eyes...
