Lee Can't Manipulate Chakra

We all know that Lee can't manipulate chakra, but in the shippuuden episodes, you see him standing on water. When did he learn how to do that? Seriously, all your life you can't control chakra, then BAM you can stand on water. I have no clue how he's doing it, but I'd like to hear soem theories. My friend suggested that he got new shoes that pushes chakra out of the soles, but somehow I don't think so.

and how did he pass the academy without doing the bunshin no jutsu???

He focused on Taijutsu, I think, but I really don't know why they passed him cause at teh time he wasn't even good at taijutsu.

but the Bunshin was a requirment...it even said so...

Even if he wasn't very good at controlling chakra, that doesn't mean he can't do it at all.

maybe he's learning albeit quite horribly. but at least, if ever, he's able to walk on water. but i do wonder how he passed, though.

*shrugs* Either he has some skill, or the teachers took into account the fact that he was an awesome ninja without using ninjutsu and genjutsu so they allowed him to pass.

The graduation exam is different from time to time, and Team Gai graduated a year before Rookie 9. That exam might have been taijutsu?

Or maybe the anime drawers being dipsticks forgot that minor detail because they wanted a cool fight scenematic of the cave being on a lake?

I don't think it was on a lake in the Manga, though I could be mistaken. Or maybe it's just accepted that Rock Lee Trained his butt off to learn how, if you remember Sasuke did say he had an incredible amount of chakra built up in his hands maybe he just built up his chakra in his feet till it was acceptable...

maybe hes mopving really fast so it just looks like hes standing on water

But he's actually standing on the water Kisame shot out in the Shippuuden series. He doesn't really fight alot in taht scene though...

possibly. but he has to keep that chakra constant and changing in his feet while on water. and they did say that maintaining chakra in one's feet is the most difficult. what more if it's on water, no less?

maybe lee made some chakara shoes or neji is flowing chakara through lee's shoes and thats why neji is around lee when they're on the water
