No, he doesn't know. My mom says he will soon though if I keep telling people his name is Father Kabuto (It's Richard). Because then he's going to wonder why everyone is calling him a weird non-American name and then he'll probably trace it to me...

Okay, my opinion time ^.^

I understand why so many people think he's creepy, gay, insert other insults here, etc. But, personally, when I decide to judge a character, I like to look deep into the character. Like reading between the lines.

I think the reason me, and quater like him so much, is because of how, well, human he is. A human being is a complex character, and, as I have read by many of your comments, how he is too complicated, or something along those lines. Let's first look at his loyalties, as they change often, as we have seen.

Kabuto betrayed Konoha first, we all know that. then he betrayed Sasori and the Akatsuki for Orochimaru. Or did he? Yes, we know that Kabuto has said that the Akatsuki is the true enemy, but does that really mean that he betrayed them out of a turned loyalty? Getting out of Akatsuki's control gave him the ability to devise a scheme. More than likely, to destroy Akatsuki was why he originally agreed to join Sasori. Working with Orochimaru also helped him with his medical practices, so that he can take attributes of stronger shinobi, and use them to defeat Akatsuki.

This, I feel leads well into Kabuto's merging with Orochimaru after Sasuke killed him. Akatsuki was after Orochimaru, so no doubt, now that he literally was Orochimaru, they'd come right to him, and he could use Orochimaru's powers and jutsus to destroy them.

Okay, Kabuto vowed to kill Naruto. As one person already said, who hasn't? Yet, Kabuto has helped Naruto. No doubt, he wishes that he has the final battle with Naruto. what better of a way to destroy someone than by keeping them alive so you can do so and know it's done right?

Okay, now, with him being "gay", allow me room to rant. Everyone in the Naruto series has been accused of being gay. I mean, honestly, look at all the yaoi and yuri pairings out there. Just because two people of a like gender are always in scenes together and work together doesn't make them gay.

Now, for how I hope Kabuto ends up. I don't want him to die, I really really really don't. Besides, I kinda think the author likes Kabuto a bit, seeing as Kabuto keeps coming up, especially when we all thought he was done for. I can live with a near-death experience, but I just don't want him knocked form the series entirely.

:o  that's a lot of words, but some of us out here haven't read the manga... so some of that was spoilers, I'd appreciate it if you labeled them as such.  Other than that, I think I agree with you.

I agree with a lot of that, Oh and Brinck this is a theory section you can kinda guess spoilers here are a given sorry. So I agree with some of that but here is my theory instead of the whole Akatsuki deal. I think, as I have said before, this series has 3 Major arcs. The first being all the way up till Sasuke leaves them. Then the Second will be to the destruction of the Akatsuki and Naruto and Sasuke possibly will make up possibly not. Anyway during this arc we are in, the second arc my prophesy is along the lines of at the end Jiraiya and Tsunade die. Leading into the new generation the series has been talking about and destroying the previous Sennin all in one go, and as we can guess this new generation of Sennin will be Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.

As for the New Kage I believe Kakashi will become it and this will lead us to Arc 3. I believe the Big bad villain that will be in arc 3 will be our own friendly Kabuto. Kabuto is as smart as anything, tricky, and very powerful. As I have said in my first post I think it was a little to "Coincidence" That Naruto Learned the Rasengan by hitting him and how he let him. I think Kabuto is using them and we will find out how in Arc 3. He will probably control his own group, just as the Akatsuki and Sound, but he will probably also do things differently.

I have from here a ranging view of theories. First when Renden2005 said that their should be 10 tailed beasts I thought. What if there were 2, 9 Tails, and that's why we can't find the other tenth one? And I thought about it and only one person could have that tenth one in him if there was. And it would be Kabuto. The reason his eyes burned red twice in the Chuunin Exam was like for Naruto when his eyes turn red. Also the reason he had to leave so as not to awaken it? We know varying things awaken Jinchurriki and fights definitely awoke Gaara's inner one so we can assume that it could do it for Kabuto too. And yet his eyes didn't turn red during the fight with Naruto? Uhuh. Also another reason maybe Kabuto was always so fond of Naruto? Because he could help him. And he understood what it was like to have a Jinchurriki? And Lastly for some reason Kabuto never needed power to ally with Orochimaru. The lack of his Sound Curse Seal says alot number one being he is very powerful and doesn't need it. And what's more powerful then a Jinchurriki afterall? Very little. After a time Kabuto will ask Naruto to join him and Naruto will have to choose between joining a fellow jinchurriki and blablabla all that heroic jazz.

Another theory from here I have is that Kabuto is just that good. Maybe he is just an amazing ninja and the Jinchurriki idea is farfetched. Ok from here I also have a few pretty good certainties that for sure I believe will happen. One is, I have little doubt in my mind that Kakashi and Kabuto will fight and when they do it may be one of the best fights in the series. Depending on who will win that fight and under what circumstances most of my theories from here get sketchy.

Still that's kinda why Kabuto is so fun of a character. You can really think alot with him. Unlike Pein who will always be the super strong leader of Akatsuki or Naruto who will always be the good guy Kabuto, Sai, and Itachi always leave you guessing which is why they rock my socks.
