Clans are a special and important part of WotN. They provide village rivalry, a chance for ryo, battle experience, missions, and fun. Clan members get special chances for ryo, special missions, special weapons, and special jutsus, not to mention special forums and other special things. With clans comes special adventures: assassinations, kidnapping, and raiding.
Here are the basics about how WotN’s clans work.
There is a special ranking system based on activity, missions completed, and raids.
Those higher in the ranks will be granted higher weapons and jutsus.
Higher ranked nin. get clan images and titles that only in clan members know.
They will be headed by the Clan leader.
Until Clan Leaders have been chosen and trained, clans will be led by their village’s kage (In the case of Sand, the Vice Kazekage will be Clan Leader). Clan Leaders will:
Clans will have a bank.
Each clan will be given ryo for their bank. All ryo earned by the clan (from the weapons shop, raiding parties, etc.) will be placed in this bank. Clans can raid other clans’ banks to steal some of their ryo. Clans will be given an allowance of ryo until they are able to fend for themselves. (Handouts are bad; we want clans to fend for themselves!)
That was somewhat technical. Now, the fun part of clans.
Clans will be in charge of Raiding parties.
Raiding parties will consist of a small group of people attacking a village's war area and demanding their stores of cash. (Generally three to five (3 to 5) members of a clan can go on raiding parties.)
If they succeed in winning more battles then they lose, they will get a portion of the Ryo in the bank and split it up. (Between themselves and the clan.)
The losing village loses 50% of their ryo.
The winning raiders divide the spoiled as follows:
Clans will be in charge of Assassinations.
Assassinations are the same as they've always been. The only differences are that clans now run them, anyone can request for another person to be assassinated, and those involved get the victim's ryo and a weapon.
Assassinations will be carried out as missions and requests.
Any person (either in the clan or not) requesting an assassination gets a fourth of the assassinated person’s ryo and their best weapon/summon. (The one requesting the assassination must PM the Clan Leader of their village and request the assassination.)
The assassinator and the clan itself will be paid a large amount thanks to their work in part. (Paid by the one who makes the request; prices will be negotiated between the Clan Leader and the one requesting the assassination.)
A failed assassination does not hurt a clan.
All information may also be kept secret to some degree (Although that is somewhat limited if they see them using their weapon later).
Clans will be in charge of Kidnappings.
A kidnapping works on a mission basis.
A kidnapping occurs through battle in the village war area of the one being kidnapped: the kidnapper must defeat the one being kidnapped in order for it to be successful.
You will get the majority of the ryo given to you in ransom. (The clan gets a portion.)
Those kidnapped cannot buy weapons, battle (for their clans or in war), or see their clan until they are ransomed out of their captors hands.
A failed kidnapping will not affect the clan; however, the ninja who failed will be able to be challenged and kidnapped themselves.
A note about missions on WotN:
The best missions will be given through clans to clan members.
Regular missions will still be given by kages.
Community missions will be closed.
Joining a clan; promotions within the clans.
Three (3) new members can be admitted to a clan per month.
Four (4) people can be promoted per month.
No more are permitted, and the Clan Leader will have to tell who is being promoted and accepted to the Kage so they can file it.
