I'm pretty sure you can install Japanese keyboards.
I installed Korean on mine. o__O;

yeah i found them online for $3 im just broke for another week. then after that il be able to type. im currently learning to speak Japanese so typing it (even in romanized text) is a challenge give me a few weeks and ill be able to

after i can read, write and speak it im gonna buy a laptop from japan and use it more than i do this one

Can't you watch Japanese dramas or something to learn how to speak?

you could but that would actually take more time. right now im using the 3rd version of Rosetta stone. it makes you speak it as you take the lessons. it will even teach me how to write it.
but i do watch anime in Japanese constantly, i have yet to find and dramas that might hold my interest. oh and im constantly listening to j-pop and j-rock

its not hard yoyo as long as your using xp or vista you can do it with any keyboard, but it wont make much sense

but it will give you the lanugage toolbr which lets you switch typing interfaces
