well Canada was split between the French and the English, but teh English won and controlled most of Canada, but Allowed the french parts to keep their language.
Which is why Quebec and new Brunswick are the only provinces that have french as a provincial language.

New Brunswick (were saba, lm, ama, aichu, zen and myself live) is biligule (spelling?), and at the time the Quebec setelment went down through N.B. and Nova Scotia, which at the time was "Acadia", which became English aswell after the american revolution (date?) beucas eosme people who didn't want to leave the british crown flead to acadia, the people who lived there were Acadians. before the american revolution, the british invaded and enhiled anyone who wouldn't gie there loyalty to the british crown, many of these people were sent to places like New Orleans.

hmm... its been mostly english since the sometime after the revolution ended to 1867
I guess. I mean, technically Florida was originally Spanish but I always consider it English. Seems like the same thing.
