Just putting that out there.
There's no such thing as weird people in our culture. Unless you're trying hard enough, in which case we can all just assume you're looking for attention. Just look at our school system- we're taught to be individuals. Is there something about you that's a little off? Sure. But everyone has that. It's just a little more prominent in some people than others.
I got thinking a little more about a trend in the way our generation thinks. I've noticed that we often rebel against society because certain people treat us differently or put us down for who we are.

This may sound harsh, but I have only one thing to say: "Suck it up."
Okay, backtrack and let me explain.
What we're doing by complaining because we're 'unique' is useless. Yes, we're all unique, no two people are the same! Also, Kns stated
Another example, reality shows: Normal people suck at those. Lets watch Bob raise his family of 3 kids with a loving wife! Watch Bob pay his mortgage! Watch Bob eat a healthy and balanced breakfast! Trust me, the only way you would get me to watch that is if Bob ends up getting eaten by dwarfed gazzelles. Now that is entertainment.
Well, what's so bad if we happen to live normal lives? To be a parent and take care of one's family is a noble persuit.
What I'm really trying to say is our generation has become a Rebel without a cause. The focal point of our rebellion is how we're not excepted and how everyone should be different. Hey, there'll always be people who won't except us. We may be insulted and even shunned, but there's no reason why we should band together and shout 'injustice' over our own injuries.
If you really want to change the way people think, show the world you care- there are children dying of aids and dehydration and africa, people on the streets in our own towns with no place to live, and abused women in our cities with no place to go. Just because we're teenagers doesn't mean we cannot do our part to help.
Now that's a cause worth rebelling for.
(btw, I'm in no way pointing a finger at the people who started the above listed threads. I'm just using them as an example to make my point)
