Execution
Now, here comes the real meat of the war effort. I will go over the specific things that happen when a war starts to show how one wins or loses a war. The categories are primarily based on the war classes but I still highly recommend reading them all. Most of the important information will be here so just because it is long, there is no good excuse not to examine it like homework.
Article VIII – Offensive Movement
You are an Invader. First, when you attack, you find yourself at one of the 2 Village gates leading into enemy territory. You must post a thread to get fights or join current fights against Defenders of that Village. You and your allies keep on fighting until your side scores 5 wins against the enemy or the Defenders do not post for a day in any fights. You now scored access into the central Village. Again you keep fighting however this time if no one on your side posts a/in a fight for a day in the central Village or you get 10 loses; you get pushed back to the gates. You can still join fights with your allies. If you want to control a building, you try and fight the current enemy there. If you win, you must stand guard there in case other people try to regain the spot unless you manage to give the post to another ally. After you guys score 10 wins or, again, the Defenders don’t post for an entire day, you gain access into the Kage’s Castle. If there are no fight threads there created by Defenders currently up you instantly win. However if there are, you must keep fighting until either you die or you manage to rid the area of Defenders. You can join a battle with an ally only if there are no Defenders awaiting a battle. Then you have conquered that Village. (If there are 5 loses on your side, you get pushed back to the Central Area.) If you die as an Invader, you must wait a day to fight again unless you control that Village’s hospital. If this is so, you can revive once and only if you die with -10 to 0 health. Then you must post at the hospital and wait 1 minute. If this is not the case you need to wait a FULL day to revive.
Article IX – Defensive Movement
You are a Defender. Enemy Invaders have reached one of your gates and have started putting up fight threads. You can fight in a vacated one or a thread with one Defender already there if there are no open fight threads. You keep fighting until there are 5 losses or your other Defenders were inactive for a day, and then the Invaders advance and you must start guarding the central Village. It’s the same scenario; you answer in fight threads that you are allowed to and if your Defenders are inactive for a day, the Invaders move on but if the Invaders don’t post here after a day or lose 10 times, they get pushed back to the gates. Also, as a Defender, you can fight for control of a building if your side doesn’t control it already as you normally would for a building. If you anticipate the Invader’s entry into the Kage’s Castle, you should immediately create fighting threads in it so you can protect it. If you don’t, you will lose. Once you reach 10 losses, all the surviving Defenders will get pushed back into the Kage’s Castle. Here you need as many Defenders as possible creating fights or helping comrades in fights until your defense gives away and no Defenders are left. Then you will have lost your Village. If you manage to kill 5 Invaders you can push them back. When a Defender dies, if you control your Village’s hospital, you may revive him once if he has died with -10 to 0 health. Then you must post at the hospital and wait 1 minute. If this is not the case you need to wait a FULL day to revive.
Article X – Medical Movement
You are a Medic. Your job is to help and save everyone you can, where ever you can go. You, as a medic, are allowed to interfere ONCE in any battle that HASN’T been interfered in yet by your side, including allied Villages. (You can interfere in any battle you can reach but be wary of helping other allies unless they ask you.) Each side can interfere once in the same battle but not allies on the same side. When interfering with a battle, you can either heal your allies using Healing Jutsu or you can impair the enemies using Restriction Jutsu. (A complete list of universal Medical Jutsu will be provided in another file.) Originally, you may only interfere with battles on your home turf (This means you cannot even travel to allied territories.), however if the hospital on that side is captured by your forces you may interfere with battles happening over there until the hospital is recaptured. Make sure you check the hospital a lot so you don’t get in trouble for interfering when the hospital doesn’t belong to you. Even if your home hospital is captured, you may still help out Shinobi and their battles in your home Village. Also, because you may only interfere once in every battle, you must talk with the entire Medical Squad to sort out which battles which Medics should watch. If two Medics on the same side should post at the same time or a Medic posts when the Shinobi dies, the second Medic post and the second post between them are null and void.
Article XI – Mass Retreat Movement
Retreat orders can only be issued by Kages themselves and only apply when the Kage wants to withdraw all units from a certain or all Village(s). Once a retreat order is issued all, Shinobi at the Village [where the order was issued] who are currently in battle must post the retreat order (in exact wording) and all battles that were being fought in the Village are won by the opposing side. In turn, unless there are more Villages attacking it, all Shinobi will have to start at the Village gates again. These orders should only issued when all Strategists have agreed on it and when more help is required at saving their Village than beating another Village. This order prevents any battles from being started for however long the order specifies in enemy territory and these orders can only be sent in mass to every Shinobi. (Helping allied Villages ward off Shinobi is only allowed if the retreat order specifies so.) If a Shinobi disobeys the order, then that Shinobi will be immediately exiled from their Village by their own Kage. However, every other Village is allowed to continue the War as normal. Because of this, retreat orders should only be used in moderation and when completely necessary. An advantage to this order is that your Shinobi can leave fights they are in with out having to surrender [and having to wait a day to come back].
Article XII – Strategic Movement
You are a Strategist. Your job is arguably one of the most important in the entire war. You must work with select others to command your Shinobi army to victory using various tactics and moves. You must analyze the situation and keep dozens of factors in constant check, lest you slip up and cost your side the war. You must keep in mind many things. First of all you must always know the size of your army and create proper commands that augment that amount. Failure to do this could create holes in your strategy. In addition to that, you must always know how much progress your Invaders have made to capture the enemy Village and how much progress the enemy Invaders have made breaking into your Village. Also, keeping track of who controls which building is key. (To keep your building, you should designate someone to guard it at the beginning of the war.) In addition to knowing where you keep your eyes, you must know how to effectively communicate your strategies to the fighters. If you don’t, your messages could be misinterpreted and your entire plan failing. Of course, like always, you need to know how to work with the other Strategists and the Kage. (You are advised to work with other Villages as well.) From the pre-War Strategy Meetings to the exciting and tense last seconds of a war, you, as a Strategist, play an important part in winning a War. One of the things I thought about most when I created this format was “I want to make a system where Strategy was as important as Battle” and I definitely succeeded.
Article XIII – Miscellaneous Issues
Every other little thing that doesn’t really have a section of it’s own I will post here. Read it all because there are a lot of little facts you need to know. If you make a fight thread however you don’t want to fight anymore or you want to help someone else if a fight and other people are busy, you are allowed to delete your thread, ONLY IF NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO YOUR CHALLENGE; if some one is ready to fight you, you must see it through. (Surrendering is acceptable, however if you do so, it counts as a death and you CANNOT revive until the next day.) If you do not wait a FULL day before coming back to fight, you will be immediately banned from that war. Whenever there is a situation in which 2 things are posted at the same time that contradict each other (Healing and killing post), the second post that was put up does not count. Medic moves CANNOT be dodged, even with Evades. Just in case you don’t know, you can not get involved in any way with a war when your Village loses. If you try to switch Villages during war and get caught [in case yours loses or is losing], the Kages have full right to exile you from your Village. I will touch up on subjects like Ceasefires and Peace Treaties later when needed.
