you said you lean more towards defense ami correct..thats good...you have yourself a solid way to keep yourself high in endurance..now just throw in small attks here and there and you will be fine

I wouldn't give up if i was you Death, your style does lean more toward defensive so strategy is hardly an issue. Especially when it comes to fighting an offensive opponent.
When you face another defensive fighter, it would be a long battle, but your ability to heal would give you the edge.

Do you think long term damage should be allowed? Like burning, choking, drowning, poison, etc, etc?
If so, how would you have it work?

yes it sould be allowed...as long as it follows certain parameters...like if you have excess damage tht goes on in following turns aka.(burning,poison,choking,drowning) they should only do +5hp each subsequent turn....this way it doesnt give anyone an unfair advantage and it follows some sort of realism guideline
