The biggest hurdle between Obito being Tobi in my opinion is motivation. Why would Obito join the Akatsuki, and how did he become leader? Did he start the Akatsuki? If so, again I ask why? Then again that doesn't leave many other possibilities. Could Tobi possibly be Madara? I don't know about that. Either choice seems unlikely, but they are the best options we have to choose from. Either way once all is known, there will be alot of "I told you so"ing goin on.

If Tobi is the grand mastermind then why was he just recently admitted? I mean if he was the one who started the organization then why the flip was he just recently made a leader?
Tobi is not Madara. First why would Madara have one eye? And the same eye that would be opposite Kakashi's? Pretty coincidental. Another if a bunch of giant rocks fell on Obito's face maybe he is hiding it. But Madara why would he hide it? Another is the fact Tobi has a mirror personality of Obito. Also if the Fox remembers Madara from a while back and he hasn't been out roaming for fifteen years it's unlikely that Madara is any spring Chicken. So odds are if he were in the Akatsuki he would be really old. In fact many believe (I am one of them) that if Madara is anyone important he is the founder of the Uchiha Clan. That would make this line "My true power...Uchiha's blood true sharingan" crap make sense because he means the blood from Madara is running in him.
For all these reasons I think that Madara isn't Tobi. Obito is the best candidate and our only reason to say it isn't him is because of his reasons for being one? Well who says madara has better ones? I mean just cause he is an Uchiha doesn't mean he is evil.

ok Q then why was Tobi giving orders to Paine in that recent manga chapter. Has it occured to you that maybe Tobi didn't want people to know that he was in charge. Now I don't know who tobi is but stop saying he isn't in charge when he's handing orders out to the leader. He might have recently been admitted because his plans are coming closer to fruition, and he wants to take a closer hand in Akatsuki affairs. Reread the manga if you must. He is most certainly the one in charge

Alright, then explain how a new member is talking that way to Paine, the supposed leader. Also, why are we just now learning that Tobi is an Uchiha. I agree that you can disagree, but please give arguements.
"As leader, failure won't be forgiven." I could see Itachi, or another member who had been with Akatsuki awhile saying something like that to Paine. Maybe. If Paine is the true leader would he let a the new guy talk to him in such a way? thats my opinion.

I never said he was a goofball. Afterall he just survived Deidara's blast and if he his Obito then I still believe he is no goofball.
I believe i said I am not going to defend it it's impossible online too. Look read the manga though. Tobi hung out with Akatsuki for a while but never was a member and wanted to be a member. Obviously that means he isn't new. But he was only recently made a member. If he was the mastermind wouldn't he just be like Pein I want in the club I made and he would be like ok Boss. He already caught his Jinchurriki and the person with him probably did too. They were telling him to go get the 9 tails Itachi can't do it and we need to get this show on the role.

for all we know that was another of Paine's changed clones running around with Deidra. plus, it is only tobi telling Paine to retrieve Naruto. Also you still fail to account for the meeting. Paine didn't need to be there in person to hear this. He was likely required to do it in person.
On another note, you said it yourself. Tobi was with the Akatsuki for quite awhile before becoming a full member. He could have been directing it from behind the scenes all along.
