Even though Akatsuki has lost 6 of their members, they still have 6 or 7 of the tailed beasts. Plus, the members that are left are strongest members of the Akatsuki.

of course they are....since the beginning they were destined to NOT survive...they're not explained in depth (like about their life and stuff) enough to grow into important enough to be main villans....kabuto has those features...and he will be coming back if they decide to make a continuation on the series after akatsuki (cuz i dont think he's gonna show up in shippuudden anymore)

I feel the Akatsuki were just an interlude, a lot like Sound Village and the Sound 5. Just here for a while to be defeated. Not to say all will die, as Kabuto And Sasuke survived Sound, Kisame and a few of the Akatsuki may survive the Shippuden Challenge (I am really hoping Kisame does at least he is butt kicking awesome).

As for the next villains for the Epic Third arc I believe is coming it will probably be whoever Kabuto digs up to fight with him and the snazzy Root secrecy group (And possibly Sasuke). It'd be interesting if Kabuto worked with Root too. Who knows.

Well yeah. That is the point of villainry. Someone to conquer.

Envy, Wrath, Everyone in Soul Society (Which were the villains in Bleach for a long time), Near (It depends who you say is the villain but from Kira's point of view he was), Mihawk, Bartholome Kuma, That freeze guy Luffy also all fought. Most One Piec Villains in fact (Smokah too).

Who knows. Just saying a lot of villains don't die. Gaara, Kankouro, and Temari are some more.

But do they get solidly defeated? Usually.

Eventually, they are doomed, because the good guys always win. Sad, but true. Then again, they could recruit new people anytime they want to, they just need the rings. It'll only die out after the leader dies. Yeah, it has gone pretty down hill after Hidan and Kakuzu. They're falling like flies of a cake.

I am really glad that Akatsuki is going to die. SOOO annoying. Worst villains ever imagined, except Kisame.

Akatsuki will most likely die by the hands of Team Taka (Sasuke, Karin, Juugo and Suigetsu.) and Team 7 right when they are extracting the bijuu from Naruto, they will then go kickass on the rest of the Akatsuki (Madara a.k.a Tobi, Kisame, Zetsu, Konan and Pein.)
Also by this theory, Sasuke will be friends with Naruto again (hopefully.) or he will run off, letting them survive like the badass he is (pfffft.)
ANNNNNNNND Suigetsu will get Kisame's sword, One step closer to his eternal quest.
