i think it would be realy hard to fly with snake wings.

In my opinion, those wings aren't really for flying. They are used to block justu. Besides, he can't fly!! He can hover. If those wings were for flying, he would've just flown up to Diedera and used chidori. As for the snakes, this is most likely because of Sasuke absorbing Orochimaru and gaining his abilities. Like after the fight with Diedera, Sasuke reveals that he had advanced healing abilities because of absorbing Orochimaru. I say this because you always see snakes coming from Orochimaru's body.
