Relationships - Attraction

In a relationship, I'm always told you can like other people and look at other people, but you can't act on those feelings.

Like, these are some of the things I HEAR that you can do:

• Dance with other people (friendly dancing)
  
• Talk with other people
  
• Complimenting other people
  
• Receiving things from other people
  
• Visit other people's houses
  
• Go to social events with other person
  
• And you can "friendly flirt" with them*
  

*Apparently friendly flirting means that you can do SOME of the things you would do when flirting, but your intentions are only to flatter, not to get together.

And things you are forbidden from:

• Kissing other people
  
• "Doing the do" with other people
  
• Engaging in REAL flirting
  
• Hooking up with more than one person
  

But when you don't have someone, I'm told you can:

• Do anyone u want
  
• Get as many numbers as u want
  
• Flirt as much as you want
  
• etc.

Then here comes the problem. When I got offline for that short period of time, my friends and brother told me that having more than one SEX FRIEND is cool. He said even if you have someone, you can still go flirting.

He said, and I quote "When your married, your limited to one person. But when your just in a mutual relationship, a little fooling around isn't big shit."

I haven't had huge talks about this crap, so I need some feedback from WOTN. Please tell me how this shit works.

I think your brother and friends are most probably guys, and most probably think they're cool if they have more than one girl... when they are not.

When you agree to be in a relationship, you're agreeing to be with someone... which would mean you are agreeing to stop flirting with other people, no kissing other people etc etc.

It's not saying you can't stop doing the things you normally do.. but you gotta be a jerk to go off and kiss another girl if you already have a girlfriend.

Theres friends with benefits and stuff.. but yeah, if its just a normal relationship.. its pretty bad if you think about being with other girls.. is all I'm saying.

I woulda thought at 14 you would have worked that out.

Well IMO, any guy that cheats on a girl is an absolute *insert mean rude word here* cause really.. once you get in to a relationship, you're with one person.

and dont anyone say i'm trying to justify crap and say it's not true. cause i'm not trying to, i'm stating something i see. if you see something different, your probably in places that dont condone cheating whatsoever.

And on another note, I think all cheaters suck. Regardless of gender, age, or ethnicity.

They are, thats why they put up with me. Not that I'm dumb (i'm very intelligent- my grades proved that) but they just have a tolerance for me. I love my friends^^

But still, I won't change my opinion. You can't say I'm wrong that there IS unfairness still lurking in the gender situation and you cant say that not ANYONE ELSE in the world may feel the same way I do. not that I said you said those things.

And if you shorten it, it can be three words.
