Jahinism real or fake?

I was talking to one of my friends and she showed me this necklace of hers it looked like the same necklace that hidan wears and she tried converting me to Jashinism( she is a real Jashinist)( i'm christian) telling me its a real relgion and what not and I had read some books on old Japanese religions and it a had mentioned something about Jashinism. so now I'm confused is it a real religon or is it just a made up relgion from the Naruto Manga? I want to know what you think.

I dont know really cause unless your friend showed you "Proof" ( rituals markings other followers) I dont know I have heard of the cult of jashinism but I dont know. *sweatdrops*

The only thing I can think of that comes close to the word that you've written differently twice (Jahinsim,Jashinism??) is Jainism.

Jashinism think of Hidan of Naruto his religion. thats what I'm talkin about. hmm I see i see. you see I'm borderline believer that its a real religion and not just something the auther of Naruto made up.

Also! Jashinism might be based off some ancient Japanese religion. A lot of the stuff in Naruto miiight be based off an ancient Japanese religion.

So is it real? Maybe.

I think that she is confused since the only place she had ever heard of Jashinism was in the naruto manga. and wants to see what people think.

Hahaha, I'm pretty sure she has already created her own Janism... we just don't know what it is yet :P

I looked some stuff up. It's basically a blood cult from what I've found. Kinda creepy.
Basics that I can find:
Kill the infidels and drink their blood after offering them to your god.
Pain = pleasure (Which makes me think of an enemy in a video game who went on and on about "there is so much pleasure in pain" and nonsense like that.... And then I killed her. :D )

But really naruto and other Mangas have old Japanese religious stuff in them and are usually based on them as well or Japanese legends (I.E. the 9 Tailed Fox)

A lot of manga-stuff is based on reality. *shrug*
