I've never been in an earthquake that I knew about before. People say they are terrible, but if they aren't up there on the richtor scale, are they really that bad?? Is it like when people that have never been in a hurricane before, get all gasp-y when I tell them we used to get hit with those storms a lot?? They didn't seem that bad.


* In no way am I trying to downplay the Haiti earthquakes or the recent ones in Chile and whatnot. I've just never been witness to an earthquake.
