Earthquakes~

There's been the big 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti that everyone's been talking about.

Now there's another 8.8 Earthquake in Chili, which is literally something close to 500-800 times stronger than the Haitian one. Pretty much the entire country shook. And this has caused a massive Tsunami to shoot across the Pacific so anywhere from the Galapagos, Easter Island, Philipines, Hawaii better watch out cause a Wave's coming for them.

Then you also have several recent Earthquakes off Japan and Taiwan, though there's not a lot new about that.

But anyway, seems like Earthquakes have been pelting Earth a lot lately.

yea i know i heard about that 8.8 earthquake right after the Olympics last night. i was like oh shiz~ thats freakin huuuuge & a possible tsunami to hit Hawaii wows~

Seriously. That's no good, poor fellas in the pacific are getting pounded.

Usually it takes one in every six months to have a major Earthquake. Guess these couple couldn't wait. =/ Man, not cool.

Earthquakes can happen wherever though, even teenie tiny ones at the bottom of the scale... kinda scary if you think about it DD:

That is my contribution to the convo.

They can happen wherever, but usually only happen around certain spots.

Plus the Earth has Earthquakes all the time, but usually they aren't even enough to knock a cup off a table.

It's like how you get lots of thunderstorms a year, but only a few Hurricanes.

Without water we'd all die. And there is evidence to suggest tectonics might even be a false theory~ I know, shocking. I won't say one way or the other on that, cause I haven't decided, but don't jump on that.

What's the theory that the tetonic plates might not be causing earthquakes?
And you know, Q, Haiti wasn't just hit with one, but two earthquakes, AND a tsunami.

I don't like them either!! For that very same reason.. and it sucks too that the poorest people are effected by them and cause they are poor they can't afford to move away from the chaos areas.

I didn't say you were. Just stating, in case you didn't know. But luckily, the tsunami only killed three people. Well, luckily, I guess because so many other people died, not that three people were killed.

They probably sell homes in Earthquake dangerous areas cheaper than homes in safety, so, yeah~ It does suck that Earthquakes do the kind of damage they do. They literally come out of nowhere, the earth smashes into the very homes of people and causes them to crush their inhabitants. Not at all pretty.

It's strange that they only are right 50% of the time or that people would doubt Tectonics? Because if Tectonics, or any theory, is right only 50% of the time it's a pretty bad theory and worthy of doubt. It'd be like me saying that the Earth is always in day time. Well, I'd be 50% right but I wouldn't be explaining night and day very well.

BREAKING NEWS: Hawaii just got hit by tsunami and experts say that the waves actually came from the chilean earthquake.
