Parents who "know it all"

My mom keeps bitching at me, because I want to get "Left 4 Dead 2" for my PC, she keeps giving me the arguement that "You'll be on the computer more then your are now", I reply with the fact I have time restrictions set to the computer.

She also says that i'll get a virus becuase I need to have the steam program on my computer. That is also a pile of shit.

Basicly, she thinks that she knows it all about computers, and i know jack shit...

Me being on WoTN has more chance of getting a virus then played a video game

I got "Left for dead 2" for xbox 2 days ago

just tell her that a computer game can't give you a virus unless its inside of the game in which case you could su for a minimum a 1.5 thousand $.... i researched.

I can't believe you would say those things about your mother, even if she doesn't understand your argument, nor how you feel, what right do you to say such things to the one who bore you into this world?

My mother sent me a letter yesterday wishing a happy birthday.

She got my birthday wrong.

Can't you try working out a deal with your mom?

My parents always throw stuff like that at me, but you just have to find a way to get them to compromise.

Oh, no, she's not abusive or anything. She just gets pissed a lot. o__o;

My parents have never said any threats to me, but apparently once, when I was really young, my mother swore at me

my mother's chinese and she has a good heart. she doesnt bother me at all....and when she does, i try to end the conversation quickly or just nod my head and agree with her on a few things like im listening (i tune in and out ^.^;)

So. I see a lot of "respect your elders" and "she's your mom, how dare you?!"s. DF didn't say anything bad about his mother, just that she was bitching for no reason.

Actually, he said what his mom was saying was a pile of 'sh*t' which in my book, is a bit rude to say of your mother's desires.

But, that could just be me.
