Destiny can Wait (poem)

i wrote this for my girlfriend while we were still "talking"...a few weeks later it was official haha. but yeah, its one of my favorite poems that i've written...and i have a bunch more on my Myspace blog, my Facebook notes...and my bedroom walls hahah...but yeah if u guys like it...just say the word and i'll post more...have a good one yall...

destiny can wait


This girl is beautiful in every language
and if i must learn every dialect from every corner of this earth to confirm my first statement
i still wouldnt know how to say this...
how to tell her that the very sight of her in true form or pixelated gets my heart racin
how to say that someday i think i might love her
and with confidence, that of a lion
i think that someday might have been a few weeks ago
and that i dont have to see her everyday to feel her every day because
SHE , like eve, is my missing rib
seperated by GOD only to be made one again at a later date...
and
i ask you...is this fate?
are you part of my destiny?
because i have daydreams of me in the future....and my wife is loving and beautiful
and i have realities at night...slowly learning that you are loving and beautiful
and
if GOD is testing me...i am failing HORRIBLY....
and i'll have to explain myself when i pass away
that YOU are a once in a lifetime girl that i couldnt pass away
and if WE...were never really meant to be...
that GOD had never planned for a you and me
he planned for your heart to belong to another man....
i'll gladly rewrite my destiny to become whomever that may be
