According to John Stossel, the opposite is true. ^^

Eco-Friendly people are more likely to be tempted to steal, cheat, etc. Hm! How unsurprising I find this.

idk, i guess it depends on the person, or the individual. just because a select group of people do something, it could in turn give the whole group - or 'image' - a bad name. as it has done with this 'eco-friendly' thing.

Naw, just saying you're not interpreting the study right. It's not saying that a few people who bought green stole. They're saying that research shows that people who buy green would be more willing to steal. That they have had an altering of their moral path that differs from conventional shoppers, and it probably stems from the self righteous feeling that comes from buying green.

So, one can't spoil the batch if it's the common held belief of the batch. Also, they're not saying that green buyers are out thieving, but that they just have a different moral viewpoint on stealing that makes it seem more permissible.
