Okay reviews of two mangas that I have read recently
Yu-Gi-Oh and Doubt
Now yu-Gi-Oh, the manga, has very little to do with the actual cards.
Indeed, only 3 duels, one between yuugi and Jounouchi for fun
one between Kaiba and yuugi where yuugi traps kaiba in a card, and then kaiba versus yuugi where yuugi uses exodia
so yeah
Basically this series is about Yuugi and his counterpart Yami playing games with people (Shadow games) beating them and then punishing them for their "sin" usually greed.
Also Shadi plays a pretty big part and also Bokura
I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the tv show but also people who like those cool heros who pull out in the end with the victory!
Also Kaiba is actually trying to kill Yuugi and his friends, JOey (jounouchi) is put into a room with a maniac killer with a chain saw
and I thought Honda was actually going to die.
Multiple times violence is used, this series is way darker then its TV counterpart/
Doubt or Rabbit Doubt is a freaky and scary manga.
If you are feint of heart, do not read this manga.
Its about a game where a group of rabbits are playing (rabbits is a symbol for players) but one of them is a wolf who tries to kills all the rabbits. The rabbits have to find and kill the wolf to win, but they don't know who it is, if they guess wrong the wolf will kill them all.
And so this game is actually a telephone game and a bunch of players who play with each other regularly (this past sentence is too suggestive for my taste) meet each other to hang out.
Then are kidnapped and are forced to play it for real.
Who is the Wolf? Who will die next?
Don't get your hopes up for this one, although the characters are drawn great and have cool personalities.
