Abby: Again, I never payed any attention to KISS before now. The article was made back in October. So I wouldn't have even thought of paying someone. Or, even having the money to pay them if I had.

I like them because they're unique and aren't a band that copies off of a band that copies off of a band that copies off of a band. They're the reason why there are the bands we have today. Without the Beatles, the revolution of music would have never happened.

Abby: Are you kidding me? Their songs most certainly DO have a beat to them, and a tune. I think that statement you just made proves you really haven't listened to the Beatles whatsoever. Especially their earlier stuff, before "I Am the Walrus" and "Yellow Submarine", which is where they got more into drugs, which is probably why you're saying that it doesn't make sense.

But honestly, he is terribly out of the loop of music. And I don't mean 'What's Hot' right now, but about why tons of the bands we have today all started because of The Beatles.
I know, I know.
The Beatles = Drugged up hippies.
But, past that, their style of music is what brought us out of the 'older' music stage and brought us to where we are now. Unfortunately, he doesn't believe me because he isn't aware.
(Take into mind that he's only a year younger than me, so it's not like he's six years old and fighting me because he's immature. Well, he IS immature, but should be more mature than a six year old.)
It probably looks as if I'm being mean to him, and it's because I am. I get pretty nasty when I stand up for one side that I know is right and fight the other side. ^_^;;;;
Random rant. Because the fact that he believes that KISS is superior to The Beatles really, REALLY annoys me.

The Beatles are superior. Sorry to say it, but they are. And it's not because of the fact that I like them over KISS, but because Gene Simmons even said that KISS was influenced by The Beatles, as were many other bands.
You...just don't have a good musical ear. :/
And just so you know, I certainly have listened to KISS. They had their moments, but to be superior over The Beatles? Not a chance. (Note that I'm not saying 'they suck' like you did with the Beatles. Because KISS doesn't suck. They're just not as great as The Beatles.)
