by its a series that follows two 15 year old kids(twin brother and sister) as they learn that the owners of the shops that they work part time in are not who they seem to be... Sophie(the twin sister) works in a coffee shop owned by "Perry Flemming" and Josh(the twin brother) works in a book store owned by "Nick Flemming"... after the book store is attacked by Dr. John Dee(Immortal Alchemist/Magician/Necromancer) the twins learn that Nick and Perry Flemming are in fact Nicholas and Pernelle Flamel(Immortal Alchemist and Sorceress) and Josh and Sophie learn that they are the twins of legend that have the power to destroy or save the world...
