As some of you probably already know, I am sick, and for those who didn't know, I am sick.
SO sick that I missed school, its been exactly one week since the start of school and I have missed a day due is illness, if this is an omen for the rest of the year, I do not like it.
But there is upsides to my life right now.
I remembered that I had a playlist and some more mangas have come out with new chapters.
Also my tongue is becoming less burnt (when I burned it on a cup of tea, when I was out on a date with Aichu, it was terrible tea)
Also it seems my faith has grown stronger today, which is awesome.
And something cool, I keep coming up with song lyrics, and I need to write them down before I forget them, so I will try that hopefully
Sick already

Re: Sick already
Good luck at writing songs. I am getting kind of tired of the current Christian Music line. They haven't had any really great stuff in a few years it feels like. Or if they have, my radio station doesn't play it.
I have missed a lot more than one day the first week of school, so I wouldn't worry.

Yeah, I don't listen to Christian radio anymore, its way to bad, I must admit, they play really weird songs that I can't tell if they are actually christian or not
well what happened to you?
well what happened to you?
I don't mind Christian songs that don't sing Jesus every other lyric. But lately the Christian radio plays one of three things:
1) Freakish hip hop or bad rap with some random guy talking during the song:
"JP are you with me?"
"Yes sir!" Mhmmmmm~"
The frick is that?
2) Some whiny girl who just sings songs for like, forever!
I got a dent on my fender and God doesn't make perfect peopleEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
So annoying. I hate it.
3) They play lyrics that sound really cliche.
And then Jesus died and he died and we lived because he died when he died we lived and he died at the Cross he died Jesus's grace, we can die because he lived when he died.
Its like "Stoppppp!"
Christian Music used to have so much more class than that.

Its true, my brother. Very true.
Music was happening a few years ago. Now I can't even think of any new Christian Bands that are good. And the old ones, with the exception of Newsboys and one or two others, are all really tiring now.

Haha, Q's post pretty much sums up most modern Christian music. Actually, both secular and christian radio suck right now. Which is why I am on a diet of Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Indy tunes at the moment.
I'm in the same boat Ama.

I don't like those, either Aichu. And I don't think Christian Modern Music was bad say, 4 or 5 years ago.
This is a recent phenomenon. Besides in my humble opinion overinflated by my ego it beats most hymns. I never developed a taste for hymns.

I meant very modern, as in last couple years. Five Iron Frenzy was some wicked stuff, as was Newsboys!
Hymns are great :D The lyrics tie into biblical passage, and are oftentimes very beautiful and thoughtful. I feel more a stir in my spirit when cracking open the hymnal come sunday morning than I ever do listening to a christian song on the radio, because most of them feel so meaningless. Look up "O Love that wilt not let me go".

Newsboys! Aichu, you have moved up the ranks of Qool for liking it. ^_^
Naw. I have listened to tons of hymns and none of them have ever been 'moving' to me. But also recall, I am very rarely moved. So I just like to sing to peppy music and enjoy myself and I usually feel closest to God in those moments.
I don't get what's so great about hymns versus modern music, either. People seem to always whine you 'have' to listen to hymns or 'have' to listen to modern music or some weirdness. But if God was nice enough to give us all different taste buds I don't see why we think he wants us to listen to the same music.
If 'In Christ Alone' or 'Glorious Impossible' count as hymns then I like two.
