No no I meant 99% of other anime series have very limited use of other ethnicities. I never meant to imply that bleach has limited ethnicities because it is one of the most diverse Animes out there which furthers me to believe that the author has an underlying purpose for doing that.

I have never watched those, but, using FMA, didn't the author have a purpose for the Ishbalan? Yes, there was a very good reason the Author used them. And I am guessing you can look at the other Anime and see there was a reason they used another ethnicity. So if you look at why the Author chose to make Chad Hispanic one of the major reasons he was showing Catholocism (My point).

My point is bleach! That the person who wrote bleach is using Shinigami to symbolize Angels. It has nothing to do with the historical value of Shinigami but the writer's purpose.

I myself am a Baptist. I really don't care about Catholocism one way or the other, though I do think it's a branch of Christianity. But, Catholocism has definitely had a major impact on Bleach.
