Prologue:
Most if not all villages lie in ruins after the great war for power subsided some 22 years ago. The war was started when the grass, sound, and rain villages plummeted the world into a great oblivion for power. The remaining five villages avoided each other with extreme caution in hopes not to prevent another war with their weakened state of condition. Although, not every village had the same idea, some if not all plotted to rise above the other four and reach for world domination yet again.


Un: Entrapment

Setting: The Great Sand Village. Two people in clad armor walk through the village bazaar eyeing the stands. Every stand seems to have business today which is unusual for them. People gathered around every stand causing a constant noise. The two people were Ghost and Rhea.

"Rhea, you want some food?" questions Ghost.

"No thank you. thanks for the offer though." replies Rhea in a hushed tone. The two continue their stroll down the bazaar streets looking closely at the merchandise and the people surrounding the stands. "Ghost, who are we looking for again?" asked Rhea.

"Ace said to watch out for anyone suspicious, he said there have been other shinobi from shadow here in the village." replies Ghost.

"Ohhhh??" states Rhea in a confused tone. Ghost looks over at the food stands and notices nothing, he takes a quick glance over at the weapons stand and feels a shadowy presence. Ghost closes his eyes. Rhea looks at Ghost weird but wonders what he is doing at the same time.

Ghost opens his eyes slowly and grabs Rhea's arm lightly and states, "Come, we have to go Now!" Rhea just looks at him with a bewildered look across her face.

Ghost and Rhea put up their hoods and begin to walk fast down the opposite end of the bazaar. The mysterious man at the weapons stand gets up and begins walking in their direction. Ghost takes a quick glance back and notices the man following them. Rhea does a couple of handsigns secretly without Ghost knowing for protective purposes. The man draws a few shuriken and aims them at Ghost and Rhea. Ghost grabs Rhea's arm quickly and tugs her down one of the bazaars many alleys.

The shuriken fly past them and hit the nearest food stand causing a watermelon to fall apart. The mysterious shinobi gives a disgruntled look at his missed assassination attempt and quickens up his pace for the two sand ninja. He turns down the same alley as Ghost and Rhea and notices them just scaling a small fence to the other side. Rhea takes a quick look back through the fence at the shinobi and then does some handsigns as quick as possible. "Fire style, Dragon FLAME jutsu!" yells Rhea. The flames travel quickly through the fence melting it in an instant. They creep closer upon the shinobi standing there while Rhea gives a look of self-satisfaction. The shinobi clenches his fists and pulls a veil of shadow over himself. The flames moves ever so close.

The shinobi under the veil quickly dissapears leaving only the sheet of shadow which instantly dissapates on the ground. Rhea's expression quickly fades to an astonished look. "H-h-how did he dissapear like that?" questions Rhea with a bewildered look on her face now. Ghost looks back, and props her up over his shoulder. He looks at the ground then Rhea and gives a disgruntled look. Ghost's and Rhea's body dissapear without a trace from the alley.

A few hours pass by since Ghost and Rhea were tailed by the shinobi. They are now in the main foyer of the Kazekages castle. They are about to enter the room where Lord Kazekage resides when Rhea turns around and says to Ghost, "Ghost, i'm sorry about before, I was just trying to show you i'm strong also." She looks down at the floor and kicks the ground lightly. Ghost turns to her with a blatant expression on his face and states

"Rhea, despite what you can or can't do, your still strong. I have a feeling that shinobi was from the shadow village. We will report to Ace, then ask the people around the weapon stand at the time if they know any such info on him, ok?" Ghost lifts her chin up and smiles. He nudges her forward playfully. The doors to the room of the Kazekage open slowly.

Deux: Mission Abroad

Setting: Kazekage chambers. To the left and right of the room stands two tall pillars depicting the former Kazekages. In the middle, sits Ace upon his throne tossing up a ball of sand. Ghost and Rhea stand at the far end of the chamber across from the Kazekage.

"Lord Kazekage! We have some vital information for you!" shouts Ghost in a frightening tone.

"Whatever do you mean?" replies Ace calmly.

"We just encountered a shadow ninja in the sand bazzar, he started for us, we barely managed to escape without any injuries." states Ghost.

"This sounds like quite a problem now doesn't it? Why don't you and Rhea travel to the Land of Waves and ask the Mizukage to send me a couple of Mist shinobi, I have a certain 'task' for them. That'll be all." Ace exclaims.

Both Rhea and Ghost: "Yessir"

And without any hesitation, the two sand ninja dissapear from the Kazekage chambers.

"It seems like the impending war is coming sooner than i expected" whispers Ace to himself.

"Why do we get stuck going to the Land of Waves? Why couldn't he send some of the lower shinobi to do that? I feel like fighting!" shouts Rhea in an angry tone.

Ghost just gives her a blank expression and continues to walk on. They both walk through the main gates of the Sand Village into the desert. Barren wastelands, sand storms at will, and some of the most nasty shinobi lurk out here. Rhea grabs onto Ghost' arm as they proceed into the desert towards the Land of Waves.

"G-g-ghost? This isn't where I wanna be right now. You'll keep my safe right?" asks Rhea

Again, Ghost gives her a look, but this look is of subtlety and compassion. Rhea knew she woldn't have to worry as long as she has Ghost next to her.

what do you all think? there is gunna be alot more action in the third chaper, but give me some feedback

Trois: A Surprising Return
----

As Ghost and Rhea begin their trek through the unforgiving desert, harsh winds begin to arise. Sand starts to brew in all directions, reducing vision and creating a potentially dangerous trip for them.

"Ghost! How are we going to get through this? There is so much sand." questions Rhea.

"Very easy Rhea, we manipulate the sand into creating a path for us straight to the boat. From there, we will be transported to the land of waves and complete the Kazekages mission" replies Ghost.

Both Ghost and Rhea put up their hands and begin making hand signs (tiger,ox,snake,rat,tiger,rat,ox,monkey). After a series of handsigns the sand begins to part and a path opens up for them to follow. They give each other a smiling gesture and continue walking.

After about an hour or too, Ghost stops and looks forward with an aimless expression. Rhea looks at him disgruntled. She then immediately spots what Ghost is gazing upon. In the distance about 40 meters ahead stands the same shadow ninja they encountered in the bazzar. Rhea almost immediately puts her hands up. Ghost lowers her hands down and begins walking towards him with subtlety.

"State you business shadow shinobi!" yells Ghost.

The shadow ninja just kept walking towards them, keeping his pace steady and his hands by hid side.

"I said state your business or we will be forced to harm you" yells Ghost again.

The shadow ninja opens his mouth slightly, Ghost lets out a sigh of relief, but was it too soon. The shadow shinobi lets out a black mist that starts to head for Rhea and Ghost. POISON!

"Rhea! Use a fire jutsu NOW!" screams Ghost.

As Rhea begins to handsign the jutsu Ghost covers them in sand and she unleashes the jutsu. The sand becomes glazed over as glass and the black mist parts across the front of the glass barrier. Ghost lets out a snarl and breaks the glass barrier with a single punch.

"You have crossed the line! What is your deal anyways, you know what? It doesnt even matter." states Ghost.

Ghost quickly handsigns and lets out a blast of sand missles upon the shadow ninja. Without any hesitation Ghost lets out a blast of fire jutsu in the same direction. The two jutsus ombined and now the shadow ninja had glass spikes coming his way. Without noticing at first because of their transparency, the shadow ninja weas caught off guard and struck with 1 of the missles. He immediately retaliated with shadow blasts.

Strike 1, 2, 3! Ghost was shoken up as he fell to the cold ground. The shadow ninja smiled and yet again, dissapeared. Rhea runs over to Ghost and lifts up his body in a angled motion.

"Ghost! speak to me. I won't let you go like this. Come on, we must hurry to the land of waves, i'm sure they will treat you over there." cries Rhea.

Quatre: Unexpected Arrival

After a near death experience, Ghost and Rhea lie there in the desert for hours. Rhea finally dried her eyes and lifted Ghost up putting his bloody arm over her shoulder and started to walk.

"It'll be ok Ghost, we are almost there...I think?" states Rhea.

Ghost just gives a blank look as they continue to walk on. After several minutes of walking Rhea stops dead in her tracks.

"Ghost, we are never going to make it to the land of waves if we keep this pace up" says Rhea.

Suddenly, a gust of wind picked up and began blowing in their direction. Rhea put her hand over her eyes and started in the direction of the wind. A shadowy figure started to appear from behind all the wind. Rhea's face lit up immensely. Could it be the same shadow ninja coming to finish them both off? Or is it someone else?

"W-who are you?" questions Rhea.

The figure appeared to be wearing a large hat and tossing up a ball of sand as it came closer towards Rhea and the wounded Ghost. Rhea gave such as a sigh of relief and dropped to her knees.

"Well now Rhea, seems like your happy to see me. And Ghost, what happened. I didn't know if you two would make it through the desert so I came to assist you just to the ferry." states Ace.

"KAZEKAGE! I'm so glad your here!, We got ambushed by that shadow ninja again, Ghost tried defending us but the ninja was too strong. I tried to get us to the ferry but I couldn't make it." replies Rhea.

Ace gives a simple smile and tilts his head. He walks over to Rhea and picks her up, he then lifts up Ghost and and injects the sand ball he was throwing up into the air into Ghosts body. Rhea amazed by what Ace just did stumbles back and trips over a rock.

"Well then, lets wait for this to take effect, in the meantime, tell me exactly what happened?" questions Ace.

"Well, we were just walking along when the sand started to get fierce and a sandstorm began raging. After that we saw him again. Ghost questioned him but he said nothing so he attacked. The ninja was hit with Ghosts attack and got really furious. He then let out some weird black poison and it was all a blur from there." replies Rhea.

Ace just gave a look of intrique. Meanwhile Ghost started to glow and shake, his wounds began healing themselves up. After about a minute or two they were all gone. Ghost grabbed his head and got up slowly.

"Thank you Ace. I needed that. Now then off to the land of waves." states Ghost.

"Not so fast, since this figure seems to keep poping up, you two are going back to the village with me. Let's go we're leaving." replies Ace.

Both Ghost and Rhea looked at each other with sad expressions. Ace conjured up a sandstorm and all three walked in. The storm faded and there were no traces of the sand shinobi.
