- Jerik shot up in surprise, drenched in a cold sweat. Who wouldn't after having the most vivid dream of their life? He could still here the gunshot ringing in his ears, he could still see the man falling. The man seemed so familiar, but Jerik had never seen him in his life. He checked his clock, and it was only five in the morning. Laying back onto his pillow, he could still see everything... Everything even though it was only a dream. He soon fell asleep, and remembered nothing when he woke up.
Walking through his school's halls, Jerik was alone again. He didn't bother making friends with anyone anymore after his best friend fell to a murder. Walking past his locker, he could see a man in black out of the corner of his eye. Not bothering to turn his head, he walked forward. He could hear the chatter of the other students, and also, he heard a whisper: "I died because of you." Whirling around, Jerik only saw a blur of ghostly black.
Sitting in class, Jerik was, again, seeing the man in black out of the corner of his eye. When the bell rang, he heard the whisper "You killed me." When Jerik turned to look, the man was gone again.
During gym, Jerik was distracted by the man again. When the other team cheered, he heard "Remember this place? Remember the gun...?"
After school, Jerik waited until it was dark, and began walking home. It was raining a good deal, and you could hear the pitter-patter of the rain on the football field. Looking up from the ground, he saw the man again. "Who are you?" he called. "You don't remember...? Last night...?" Suddenly, Jerik remembered.
Jerik couldn't sleep. It was two in the morning, and he decided to take a walk to his school's football field. He grabbed his dad's pistol just in case, and walked out of the front door. His parents didn't care what he did, just so long as he came back alive. He walked to the football feild and stopped. Standing there, was a man in black. "What are you doing here?" called the man. "I could ask the same from you." replied Jerik. The man advanced to him, and Jerik could see him draw a gun. Drawing his own, he shot the man without thinking.
"I remember that." said Jerik. "But that was only a dream." "Sometimes dreams are actually reality." replied the man before he vaporized before Jerik's eyes.
Starting awake, Jerik saw that he was in a padded cell with a straight jacket on. "Mrs. Sito, I'm sorry to say that Jerik has a sever form of skitsophrenia (me: Spelling?), and is having uncanny halusionations (me: Spelling?)." said a familiar voice. Turning his head as the door opened, standing in the door, in a white doctor's suit, was the man in black.
