The Obama Matter

Okay, I'm looking on TV, and I see that Obama is planning to have this welfare/healthcare plan set into motion. So I'm like, "okay this is cool". Then I see on the internet that 50% of the people involved oppose the bill.

Then when I think about it, there weren't that many oppositions when George W. Bush was in office.

Is this because Obama didn't think out his plan, or is this matter going to the South (by that, I mean is it racial)?

NOTE: For those who know their slavery history, you would know why I said the South.

This topic could very very very easily turn into a war zone. >_>;;

Don't use emotive language like that. It's common courtesy to be polite and respectful to everyone, even if you don't agree with them. I wouldn't call Obama a moron from Kenya just 'cause I don't agree with his policies. "Money-hungry hillbilly" is not how you describe someone. I'll just call you Money-hungry Hillbilly from now on, regardless of whether it's true or not.

Another quick note: your options for the poll are loaded. You're giving us the option of saying "Ah! Racists!" or "He could have fixed it!" or "I have no opinion; whatever Q says!" A simple "Yes, it's because of racism," "no, it's not because of racism" would be best.

As I said, it's just common courtesy to not skew questions asking for opinions or to insult people. Just keep it in mind and people will be much more willing to respond with their honest opinion rather than feel the need to be defensive. It's also much easier for them to be kinder when dealing with controversies such as this.

Oh, things could still get out of hand. There are opposing views still so unless people avoid becoming too heated, this could still get messy. Hopefully we can avoid that, though. ^_^

I've addressed this question in threads and blogs for a while now. So, yeah. I have no need in me to repeat my answer.

Is just a joke. My guess, JZ, is you are young. You are only thirteen years. So you do not realize what the last 8 years have been like protest wise.

Trust me. And I do mean it, just trust me. Don't try and fight this, don't try and argue. President Bush was protested. He was attacked. He was hated by half the country and they made it very, very, very vocal.

And now another side is opposing President Obama. Not because of race, color, or creed. It is simply because he his an extremist who's vision for America clashes with the ideals of America's founding and some of us are not happy with that.

He goes to school to learn about this kinda stuff. I'd say he's a pretty good person to go to for some basics of politics and the like.
