Most excellent anime death

This is something of a morbid topic, maybe...
So!! Post your favorite death of an anime character! If you are feeling ambitious give us a picture of the carnage to help our imaginations!

My favorite anime death right now is!! Shishio from Ruroni Kenshin!!

I thought Jiraiya was pretty decent.

And I also really liked Kira from Death Note.

But, the saddest death of all times was Major Hughes from FMA. For the world.

That was awful, wasn't it!!

Definitely. No one can say they saw Major Hughes died and wasn't a bit sad for him.

Toboe's death from Wolf's Rain...i liked that one.

that one girl frm Elfen Lied who's father sacrificed them both on the bridge--that was pretty sad

but like Q said Hughes takes the cake for best death...that was just soooo tragic.
