Absolutely. There are some things you could never portray in anime that can be shown in a manga, but a lot of time things can be far more interesting when animated. Fight scenes in particular are like that.

I love shoujo ... everything. It's actually in my anime part of my profile. Clamp, Sailor Moon, etc...

But even bleach, is really good as a manga.

Shonen is better.
Blood and guts.
And swords.

Shonen is okay, but it really depends on it anime / manga itself.
And backwards is fine!

I like things backwards. Makes things interesting.
But romance adds annoying complications for the most part. Drama.

But drama not in your actual life can be quite entertaining.

Which is why Shonen is good enough for me!

Dude, the theme for Higurashi is amazing! I love J-rock, even if you really can't figure out if they're dudes or chicks most of the time >__O;;;

That's generally the case in a lot of the popular J-Rock bands.

I'm not exactly a fighter unless something I'm fond of is challenged.

Quite often, men are sometimes drawn to more feminine people, not so much females in general. If a guy is attracted to a feminine person, chances are they'll listen to it, either until they find out.
1, it's a guy, but likes the band enough to begin with to not care or,
2, They'd simply be mad, and just stop listening to the band altogether.
Either way, it could very well be a promotional thing to attract a larger audience than possible.

Oh gosh, I'm not so fond of those J-Rock girl whatever bands. If they're good performers, they won't need to dress like girls to get more attention. It's kind of scary to see someone that looks like a girl open their mouth and sing in a deep dude-ish voice.
