That still didn't answer my question. I heard some Underoath and I don't think that's emo music. I'd consider it more metalcore than emo music.

Right. See UnderOATH is metalcore, screamo, post-hardcore, ect.

Fall Out Boy is emocore, pop-punk, and post-punk or some stupid thing like that.

bah I'm confused by all these weird characterization. I do it by ear. What I hear is how I catagorize it.

On the topic, music snobs bug me. Especially when I go to the music store and some weenie music clerk asks "Are you really going to buy that?"

One time I went into the local music shop and I was looking for the CexCells cd by Blaqk Audio, okay? So I ask this lady who's just STANDING there flirting with some other dude that worked there, and I saw him walk off to help someone. I went up to her and said "Hey do you have the Blaqk Audio cd?" and all she did was look at me like I was inferior or something. God it was annoying.

I think if you're clinically depressed, but don't go around saying it, if you listen to said emo music, but do it because you like the genre, and if you can say you're emo without making a big deal about it. Then you're emo. I think.
