DoS explained what one is but A village needs clans to increase member participation and togetherness , or at least we wanted to. It also gives up advantages in terms of war and stregnth because if people work together then of course achieving our goals will be much simpler. and like DoS said, there are the kekai genkais, that will make our shinobi much stronger. It's pretty much all in the community.
