Okay, I listen to my music loud. It's part of who I am. I've listened to my music loud since I've been 12 years ago. So I figure I'm pretty much too far gone now to stop. I don't know the meaning of silence anymore. My ears are constantly ringing. Which sucks, I must say.

Part of it isn't really my fault. When you've got no other means of transportation other than your mom driving you places, and she's got a whopping total of 30 something songs on her iPod, you tend to hear the same stuff a few times.

Except when she puts one song on repeat. Seriously. I mean, I never really liked the song to begin with, but if it's put on repeat for MILES, I tend to get a little cranky. You would too if you heard the same hip hop song that you never really liked for hours.

And don't get me wrong, some of the stuff on her iPod I happen to like. There's really only one song on there I can't stand, but she cranks that one up too! Which means I can't hear MY music over hers, so I crank mine up louder so I can hear the same damn song I've got on repeat.

And then there's those times when songs are overplayed anyway. This isn't going on with my mom's iPod rant anymore. You've all heard song like this on the radio. Every other song they're playing it, and you never liked it much to begin with. Makes you want to drop kick your stereo (even if it is the ancient number of 7 years or something and probably worth good money these days), doesn't it? Does me. I've about had it with songs that aren't that great to begin with playing through everyone's headphones just because they're popular. Or for some other stupid reason. Anyway, all you want to do is retreat into your own headphones for once. No one lets you do that anymore! You get your iPod confiscated at school because of the few people who used them for cheating and listened to them at bad times a few years ago. Stupid people ruined it for the rest of us! I personally work better if I've got music playing. Preferably music I like to listen to.
