I think girls cosplaying as a guy is okay if she's just into it for being the character, not because she's obsessed with being a guy!

Girls can cosplay as guys, LOADS of people do it, especially since some male characters can be extremely feminine.
Guys cosplay as girls at conventions too....SO many guys were dressed as Misa from Death Note the past few years I've been... its hilarious xD
