He didn't change. He is the same always and forever.

Oh and in the other part about Demi God no God is not one but 3 parts. Just like Man is more then one organ, God is more then one part. But when working together it creates God. But because we are punitive we can't fully grasp the concept of God's son being part of God like our heart is part of us.

In the old Testament he was not an "ass" he was killing the sinners who desecrated his commandments and had no plan of repenting so as to teach a lesson for those in the future to live by. If you read where Peter kills the lying woman and husband you will see he was just as much a lesson teacher then too.

Oh and sorry for continuing this but it would have bugged me to leave it hanging like that if Renden truely was asking why God did these two things.
