From Suna, With Love
This is a short poem I wrote from Gaara's point of view. It's to a special somebody in Konoha. Try and figure out who it is before the last stanza!

I sit here and stare at the moon,
Thinking how it reminds me of you.
The way it lights up the sky,
The way you light up my life.
The desert night seems so cold
I pray it's warm where you are
And that though we are far apart
You still remember me.
Though cruel and uncaring I may seem
The sand, my outward shell, hides
From the sun my true self,
The self which you unleashed.
You do not recoil in fear,
Nor do you back away,
And for that you are always
The one whom I shall admire.
Look at me, rambling on,
In poet's verse, quite unnaturally.
But for you, I feel it's worth the oddities,
That you're worth the sentimental bit.
My gaze is drifting from the moon,
And I think of how it reminds me of you.
The glowing celestial being mirrors your eyes
Mimicking the warmth you showed me.
Next time I am in Konoha, look for me
And give me a smile to brighten my day.
I send this poem, from Suna with love,
To you, my Byakugan angel, Hinata-chan.
